That party was the Indian National Congress.
About 76.2% of registered voters turned out to cast a ballot, the highest ever recorded in the state.
The single biggest shift was 22 seats moving directly from the INC to the BJP.

The tightest finish was in Rai, Haryana, decided by a margin of just 3 votes — how far ahead the winner finished, in votes, over whoever came second.
The widest winning margin came in Karnal, Haryana, where the winner finished 45.4% of the vote ahead of the runner-up.
Ellenabad, Haryana recorded the highest turnout of any single seat, at 89.2%.
The most crowded ballot was in Bhiwani, Haryana, where 31 candidates stood for the seat.
